LBT Action:
To press for withdrawal of LBT all shops/establishments of trading community from Nagpur city shall remain closed on Friday, 13th December, 2013 & a mammoth Morcha protesting LBT shall proceed from Yeshwant Stadium, Dhantoli at 11.00 am to Vidhan Bhawan. - - Representatives of trading community from Akola, Amravati & Chandrapur are also coming to Nagpur to participate in the Morcha to register their protest against LBT & demanding its immediate withdrawal. - - Morcha shall conclude at Vidhan Bhavan after handing over the Memorandum to Hon’ble Chief Minister, Maharashtra appealing him to withdraw LBT & implement MEDC Report on effective substitute to LBT. - - NVCC appeals to members of trading community to observe Trade Bandh on 13th December, 2013 and participate in the Morcha at 11.00 am from Yeshwant Stadium to Vidhan Bhawan (Assembly) to handover a memorandum to Chief Minister.

LBT Action :
Shri Ramesh Kumar Mantri, Convener, LBT committee (NVCC) in the EEC-Meeting held on 08.12.2013 desired the opinion of all members. After discussions following decisions were taken by the members unanimously. 1) ONE DAY NAGPUR TRADE BANDH shall be observed. All the traders of Nagpur will keep their shops & establishments close on Friday the 13th Dec. 2013. 2) On 13th Dec. 2013 a BHAVYA MORCHA of trading community from Variety square will be taken to Vidhan Bhavan to meet the Chief Minister & handover a memorandum to him to withdraw LBT imposed by the Government Municipal Corporations in the Maharashtra.
LBT Action:
A delegation of Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce lead by Shri Dipen Agrawal, President of the Chamber met Shri Vilas Ji Muttemwar, Member of Parliament, Nagpur, today (20.11.2013) and appraised him the implications of short fall of revenue in Local Body Tax (LBT) collection by Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Nagpur. He further appraised Shri Muttemwarji that shortfall of revenue to Corporation was very much expected and due to the shortfall, if raids are conducted and traders are put to harassment is not fair. He appealed to Shri Muttemwarji to intervene in the matter and insure innocent traders are not harassed. He further requested Shri Muttemwarji to use his good offices & forward the memorandum to, and also take up the matter with, Smt. Sonia Ji Gandhi, UPA, Chairperson, during her visit to Nagpur tomorrow (21.11.2013) for withdrawal of LBT from the State & implement the Report of MEDC on alternate sources to LBT.
LBT Action:
“NVCC KICK STARTS SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN AGAINST LBT : FRIST CITIZEN OF CITY SHRI ANIL SOLE FIRST TO SIGN” NVCC organized an Emergent Executive Committee meeting to update about the report on Efficient Alternate Sources of Revenue in lieu of Octroi/LBT and started a signature campaign for withdrawal of LBT & implementation of the said report. The first citizens of the city Shri Anil Sole Hon’ble Mayor kick started the signature campaign by signing first. Shri Dipen Agrawal appealed to the trading community till such time LBT is withdrawn traders should follow the rules & regulations of LBT and pay the legitimate dues with an intention of contributing towards development of your own city. Shri Dipen Agrawal presented a copy of the report to Shri Anil Sole and appealed to him to refrain the department to take coercive action against the traders.
